“Are you serious?” she laughed.
“Absolutely. We’ve only known each other two weeks. I found you at some grimy bar. I took you home and after making sure you had the night of your life, I made my way into your mind. I cleaned you up, trained you the way I wanted. Your whole life is a lie, but…I made sure you prefer this one to whatever you had going before now,” he told her.
She stopped and looked at him. This was a lot to process.
And then she laughed.
